From the mid-1900s the premises were occupied by A.W. Jolliffe, stationer, post card publisher, and postmaster. The Victoria County History records in its County of Wiltshire volume 7 (1953) that "the present Post Office in the High Street was used also for a private business until 1909; it was then reconstructed, and again practically rebuilt in 1931." |
