The new post-office at the corner of Granby and Bishop-streets will be opened for business next Monday. It is Tudor in style. The walls are of Heather brick, with Kelton stone dressings; the windows are mullioned, and in the centre of the chief frontage is a tower 70 ft high. All the chief joiners' work is of fumigated wainscot oak. The main building consists of two stories and a basement, though there is second floor for minor offices. The public office is 40 ft 4 in. by 25 ft and the height is 17 ft. ... The architect of the building is Mr. Henry Tanner of Her Majesty's Office of Works, the builders are Messrs. Ives and Co, of Shipley .
