The building is a dignified English Renaissance structure. Its frontage, like that of the Town Hall opposite, is of Bath stone, and the roof is covered with slates from Delabole, Cornwall. A small tower, with weather vane which surmounts the building, breaks the otherwise plain line of the roof.: The architect is Mr H. E. Seccombe of the Office Works, and the main contractors Messrs Hayward and Wooster of Bath. |
