For years the need for a larger and more commodious building than the one in High-street has been felt, but it was not until March, 1903, that the erection of new office was commenced. It is a handsome three and four storey building, equipped with all up-to-date appliances, and with every accommodation for the postmaster (Mr. Sugg) and the stafF. The public office measures 40ft. by 23ft., whilst the sorting office at the rear 108ft. long and 43ft. wide. |
